Graduation!
WE DID IT! I say we because (and I know every parent with a senior will agree) it was a team effort getting this child through high school. I didn't take any tests for her, but Bob and I proofread every English and History essay this child handed in. We stood on the sidelines cheering her on through exam periods and gave a few stern lectures when motivation was lacking.
Yesterday was the graduation ceremony and with only 70 students in the graduating class each child got one minute of recognition--it was announced where the child would be attending university and what they would be studying, then a 30 second clip of music they chose played as they received their diploma and beer stein (cause that's how we roll in Bavaria). The ceremony was followed by a small luncheon; it was a lovely day and amazingly enough I kept it together!
Congratulations, Eliza! We love you so much!
