The Deutsches Museum is a hit with kids, so when I announced we'd be going Eden was thrilled.  The Deutsches Museum is all things science.  Personally, I get a bit board, but the for those who love airplanes, rocket ships, boats and machines there is plenty to see and do.  Eden's favorite room is the Kid's Reich (kingdom) in the basement, this is where children can touch and interact with the displays.  The water features are incredibly popular along with the hamster wheel.  
 Several life size planes sit on the main floor or hang from the ceiling.

I am actually pretty fond of the ship area.  The side of one is cut open and a stairwell leads you down into what feels like the belly of the boat.  You see where goods are stored, the sleeping quarters for lower class and the balcony or sitting area for the upper class.  It is a very good display. 
What an amazing flying contraption.  I can only imagine a wife's reaction to her husband trying to fly in something like this.
  
We spent at least half our time down in the Kid's Reich around the water features.  It is absolute genius that there is a dryer next to the kid's bathrooms.
 The museum is a perfect place to spend a cold winter afternoon.  There is a cafe onsite, but there are also loads of restaurants and cafes in the Isator area, so finding food is not a problem.  Go and be amazed at how excited your children respond to the Deutsches Museum.
