Children line the streets during the procession with little tinfoil balls hoping for a drip of candle wax. It's actually an ingenious way to keep a kids attention during what can be a very long night. 
 This girl has been collecting wax on this ball for 5 years.
This guy is the nephew of someone who befriended us in the crowd, he helps carry the parade float. The hat on his head is a protection for his head, neck and back. They also wear back supports as they will take turns all night long carrying the floats through town.
