That it a really interesting tower. Is the architecture typical of the area with the mix of stone and wood or unique to this tower? Would I be right in saying the top is a more modern addition?
Thanks for your comment. Yes, the tower has been restored and the wooden part is most certainly an addition. The tower was originally built during the Napolianic wars. This was about 5 miles from Plitvice Lakes in Croatia and the construction of the village is more modern and not so quaint. This area was heavily hit during the Serb/Croatian war in the 90’s.
AS the screen opened up and the photo revealed itself from top to bottom I was wondering where in the world it was, realising it wasn't in USA or Saudi and I guessed Balkans. Pleased to see Croatia in the title! It's a beautiful capture Brooke

This is an incredible shot, it looks like a wonderful place to sit and reflect. It also looks like not long after that the heavens may have opened x
