Day 2 Prague

Tomb of St. John
Czech rulers were crowned right in this room in front of the coffin. The wallpaper is encrusted with precious and semi-precious stones and above that are 14th century murals. The room is impressive.

Astromonical Clock. On the hour the apostles rotate through the windows. Last summer the clock broke in JULY, high season for tourists. There are only two clock makers and both were on holiday. One was paid handsomely to return early and fix it.

Prague is full of really good photo ops!

Italian Embassy

We opted for Czech food again at lunch and initially my kids weren't too happy; they wanted to eat at TGIF. TIP:We have found that American chain restaurants in Europe don't always deliver the quality you expect and often the prices on the menu are hiked up. I can't tell you the name of the restaurant we ate at, it was somewhere between TGIF and our hotel. We just ducked into a restaurant that looked "authentic" and we weren't disappointed.
